@ashxio i got in for soc as well! i was wondering what other schools you are deciding between? i am trying to learn more from other people about the sociology dept at UCI.

@jensenforthree Congratulations! I got accepted by UCR and UCI. I’m no longer considering UCR since I got accepted by UCI (it’s closer and I have friends there). I’m just waiting on UCLA AND UCSD! UCLA has always been my dream school but I am more than happy with Irvine if UCLA rejects me
@jaceymoo awesome! I am waiting on ucsd as well. Do you think you would go there instead of uci if you get accepted? It is such a hard decision. Do you know anything about the sociology dept at uci that stands out from others?
rolling admissions are so annoying to me, I’m out here checking my email, this thread, and my portal at all times hoping for a change since i could get a decision at any time…a set date and time for all releases would be so much easier on my anxiety :-S

@jensenforthree https://www.collegefactual.com/majors/social-sciences/sociology/rankings/top-ranked/ Based on this site, UCLA is ranked #6 for best Sociology program in the US, while UCI is right behind it at #7! I wouldn’t go to UCSD because it’s far from where I currently live. I live in the LA area so UCLA/UCI is much more appealing to me
Guys, will UCI do what UCSD will be doing, releasing most of the decisions between April 18 and April 20?

@anthonydavis yes I applied here before. I didn’t accept the offer back then, because of some situations. Hope I get accepted again.
me! I heard back on the 15th but i checked the portal on the 14th and was accepted for the BA

@shch7898 no i didnt tag im a freshmen at UCR so for me its UC to UC transfer i was actually surprised because i was expecting to find out later on
Are they going to send notifications by Friday? Or it’s still rolling until 30th… hopefully everyone here get accepted soon.
