Yes, I’m also considering the surroundings and tbh the thing that excites me the most to go to Purdue instead of UT is the chance of getting reunited with my high school mate. I also love the area and university. However, I just want to see what does UT have to offer since I havent got much clues about it! Thank you for the helpful reply

Was the deadline for the honors application extended to december 8? I see on the honors application, it says to complete it by December 1, but on the main UT site, it says the deadline was extended? Can someone dispel my fears and tell me what the actual one is?
@wakaflocka29 The December 8th deadline is only for things like your transcript, resumes, recommendation letters, etc. Not your actual application. I would venture to say that for honors, they’re December 1st deadline stands.
Just making sure the deadline for this application is until midnight tonight right? It didn’t end on midnight yesterday?

Recommendation letters are still not showing up on my status. Is anyone else having this issue?
@txstella Did you mail them or upload them? If you mailed them, they might take a while.
They were mailed by the teachers. Matching mailed documents to online applications when there are so many applicants must be quite the undertaking.
@txstella I believe that all documents mailed in are postmarked. So as long as you mailed it in today/before today you should be fine.
I’m a prospective transfer student, currently attending community college. I want to apply to UT Austin so I can go Fall 2016. I want to get into the Moody College of Communication. I have a good GPA and I’ll have my Associates of Science degree in May. I’m interested in getting a Bachelor’s of Science in Radio-TV-Film. Does it help my chances of acceptance that I have taken higher courses to fulfill my core requirements? For example, for my physical science requirement, I’ve taken Chemistry I and II. Instead of general math, I’ve taken Calculus. How much does this help?

Did anyone receive offers from UT Austin?
Same question as above. Wondering if we shall hear back this week. Does anyone know if the portal is usually updated in the am or pm or midnight?
It seems like many admissions decisions have been updated in the afternoon.
It’s funny how there are 2 threads for UT Austin, this one and class 2020. Wish we could just combine the two!
