Congrats @tennisgirl9019
Any computer science decisions today?
Congrats to all who were accepted. I was wondering if anyone has thoughts about when DS will get a decision. He applied to McCombs at the very end of November. We are OOS. Thanks. He (and I) are getting antsy. Thanks.
Congratulations to y’all who got admitted today! Seems like the majority of acceptances released today were from College of Natural Sciences and Cockrell. Hopefully there will be some COLA acceptances tomorrow!
Haven’t seen any Cockrell posted here today. Looks like McCombs and CNS so far.
@gettingschooled There are about five or six cockrell acceptances posted in the facebook group
Will decisions still be coming out through tomorrow or have they been all sent out already?
@gettingschooled Thank you!!! Best of luck on all your endeavors!
When you say your “offices financial aid counselor” do you mean your UT regional rep? or someone at your high school?
@NotRobertDeNiro
@texangirl505 I called the regional office and they placed me on the phone with the regional office financial aid counselor. The same lady that was listed on the email. Evelyn W.
Hopefully that’s a good sign. Are you an auto admit? And what major did you apply for?
The FB posts for Cockrell seem to be electrical, chemical, BioMed, computer and petroleum.
My son got into BioMed yesterday afternoon. He is auto admit applied one day before final deadline. No other updates on honor or scholarship.
@texangirl505 I’m a review candidate. I made Political Science my first choice major and History my 2nd choice.
*I forgot, Poli Sci is Gov at UT.
@NotRobertDeNiro ok I also applied to liberal arts majors, government is one of them, so hopefully we’ll hear soon

Dean’s Scholars is an academic program
Presidential Scholars is financial aid.

Congratulations!
And just for the record. Your stats are NOT mediocre for a big public university that accepts students from all backgrounds.
Presidential scholarship means that you are much-much better than an average student from YOUR HIGH SCHOOL. And what matters for UT is not your ability to nail tests but your attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
You even wrote one extra essay that was not required. It tells a lot about a person.
PS
Plan II and LAH are Liberal Arts Honors programs.
@NotRobertDeNiro @texangirl505 Hey y’all, I also applied first choice government. Y’all haven’t heard back right? I hope we hear back soon
I posted a week or 2 ago - twin sons who have UT has their #1 choice. OOS, so-so stats. Found out today that Son #1 was admitted to CNS in Physics, which was his first choice major. Son #2 still in review. His 1st choice major is Comp Sci and 2nd choice is Radio-Television-Film. I’m not sure he really has the stats for Comp Sci and at the time the app was completed and sent in, I really felt R-T-F was a better fit for what he wants to do career-wise. Does anyone have any insight on how competitive Moody is? Unfortunately, I think this will be a “both or neither” deal for the boys. I can’t see one leaving the other behind at another school. I’m not sure Son #1 remembers his password to check status, so we’re trying to keep the news from him until we hear about Son #2.
logged on to my app to figure out withdrawal process, got admitted instead HAHA
