Fall of 2016 Applicants

.

NVM, I found the online upload site.

Yes, transfer from COLA into Cockrell is very difficult. Here’s some information about the process. It includes minimum GPAs to apply, but doesn’t tell you what the GPAs of students actually accepted is. My best guess is your GPA should be at least 3.5 to be competitive.

Should I send my 28 on my ACT if I already sent my 2090 on the SAT? Is there any benefit to letting them know I did fairly well on both tests? Or should I just send the better one?

My subscores fot SAT are 740m 650cr 700w. ACT subscores are 30m 30w 29r and 23s.

Sending the higher SAT alone is fine. They credit your application with the higher score and I don’t think a lower ACT adds anything.

Question to all: Is the decision sent out at a certain date in March or is it rolling in starting December? Thanks!

I just read this thread from the beginning and noticed my question above has been answered at some point.
So, we may start hearing in waves starting December for the candidates with highest stats. Decision will roll out all through March. That’s what I understood. Good luck to all! The waiting game is hard!

I applied back in October for McCombs and Plan II. Eagerly awaiting news on my decision.

@chocopied I emailed a counselor and if you applied to business honors or Plan II honors, you will most likely get something sooner than other honor colleges.

Does anyone know if they have released admission decisions to those not in top 8%?

Do the amount of people in your high school that apply to the same major as you affect your chances? Cause 5 people in my school (including two girls) are applying for Computer Science and they all have better ranks than me. I have better test scores than all of them though.

Does the amount of people from your school that apply to the same major as you factor into your admissions decision? Cause 5 people from my school (including two girls) are applying to CS and they all have better ranks than me. Will I get compared to them in any way?

Double post whoops lol

@chucotx Not that have been posted here. Last year, the first wave of people to get their majors was on November 13. No one has posted yet this year with a major -even those in the auto admit group.

@wardroger000 Even if you do not get into the honors program itself? Not sure how specific you and the counselor got, but I am curious if those who have not gotten a BHP interview are still being considered for McCombs notification relatively soon.

Judging from what I read from threads about UT decisions from previous years, they usually start sending out application decisions for honors programs starting in late November and early December. Then there is another wave of decisions after winter break and another around Feb/March. Not really sure about BHP. I was considering applying for it before but went for Plan II Honors instead. And I think admission decisions for not top 8% comes out around Feb/March too once they’ve filled up the auto-admits in a particular major. I’m not auto either so its a long wait for the rest of us lol.

Major updated this afternoon!
Physics, Entry-Level major in the College of Natural Sciences- first choice.

Now, will wait on honors…

Auto-admits, about how long after your application was complete did your status display as admitted? My application was completed a few hours ago, and I’m wondering when I should expect a response.

I got accepted into my major today too. My first choice was history. I completed my application at the end of August and was auto admitted on 9/22/15. I assume the first batch went out today to those of us who applied earliest.
