Fallen Chemist helped me so much on CC three years ago. There is no one like him - his style, wisdom, and devotion to help everyone. He will be truly missed.

I am very sad to hear this. I just started talking with him this year and he was so helpful to me with suggestions for my son was interested in Tulane and gave me lots of information on the scholarships
Heartbreaking news. Every university deserves an FC & every child deserves a parent so supportive and proud. Prayers and condolences to his family and friends.
FC is the driving force behind me applying to Tulane in the first place. Seeing someone as supportive as he was and how much pride he had in the school, I figured the school had to be doing something right! His guidance for many students and families over the years is invaluable. His presence in this community will be sorely missed. My thoughts are with his family in this time of need.

Oh my goodness I can’t believe this. I am so sorry for Fallen Chemist’s family and their loss, and that of Tulane. He was a wealth of great information, and incredibly supportive of all the Tulane hopefuls and prospects.

I first saw this in my math class today and couldn’t believe it…I remember when I first started looking around College Confidential a few years ago and stumbled upon Tulane. It was FC’s posts that really caught my attention. I just can’t believe it, we’ve truly lost a great. College Confidential truly became better because of FC. This is just so sad…
Only traded a few emails with him, but what an amazing individual and I am deeply saddened by his passing. Best wishes to all the Tulane community on this sad day.

This is so sad. My D applied to Tulane last year and I really appreciated all the help that fallenchemist offered. This is a big lost. Prayers for his family.
When I read the news about Fallen Chemist, my heart sank. My daughter is now a freshman at Tulane, and for many months last year, I diligently read his posts/responses. He was always prompt, informed, offered amazing perspective and truly was a priceless ambassador for Tulane. What a loss. Thank you, FC, for all they you did!
