I intend on pursuing a finance and math double major at Ohio state along with participation in the business scholars program. I have not yet determined my career path, but I was wondering what kind of opportunities this education would open up for me. More specifically, how does Fisher stack up with other business schools in producing high paid, successful graduates? Any commentary on my intended double major and the business scholars program would be much appreciated as well. Thank you!

I can’t comment on Fisher too much (I’m a business minor), but you should have plenty of career options mostly because of the math portion. You could probably do well in finance. Also if it’s the Business Scholars program, as in part of the Honors & Scholars portion, then that won’t get you too much after you graduate. Yeah it’s nice and all and adds two words to your resume but if you have a decent GPA it really won’t matter (especially in several years). Scholars really just provides a smaller community, and you’ll also get earlier (only slightly) registration for classes.
@KosherBacon how is the mathematics program at Ohio state? Is it highly ranked and what kind of opportunities has it opened up for you?
I’m not in the mathematics department, so I can’t really comment on its rank or opportunities. I’m actually in the computer science and engineering department. But a finance and (applied?) mathematics will open up incredible opportunities.
