financial aid amount

hey i was just wondering what other people got for their financial aid, i only got $672 from grants. is it low because i accepted it late? they said they released it on april 5 but i didnt accept the financial aid till now. my parents make around 80-90 grand a year combined.

No that’s not why. I got $672 as well and my parents make about that amount. Also UC Davis only offered me like $600 :frowning: Loans it is.

Got the same, make the same! Which kind of sucks because just keeping my family’s house is hard enough… Loans, loans, loans…

I got $672 also…it is ridiculous. UCSB offered me $3500!

I got the cal grant which was about $11,000 and then UCR gave me a seperate grant which was about $3,000 and this was with an EFC of about 6065. I know i am super lucky because all together I got gift aid of almost $19,000! I am so happy because i am paying for it all myself with no help from my parents so i seriously needed this!

and I just got my financial aid last night and accepted it then, so timing has nothing to do with it

Does anyone know if calling the financial aid office and like… crying would help with grant amounts? All of the financial aid is based off of the highest figures possible (11k tuition, 11k housing… wrong) and I need to know what I REALLY have to pay to the school before I can SIR.

i got around 11k in grants too, but no cal grant…why? i called and the cal grant people made some mistake and now i have to wait and see if i qualify :(…anyhow—is there a deadline to accept grants and other aids??

May 10th, I believe

I just sent my parent’s tax return papers about 2 weeks ago. Do you guys think they will let me know how much aid i get before may 1st? i need to know cause what school i go to depends on how much aid i get.

Thanks
