A while back, there was a thread about William and Mary requesting additional documents and a possible link to acceptance. I'm curious as to whether there is a connection.

Please post your decision (accepted, rejected, waitlisted), and whether you were asked to provide these documents.

Thanks so much!

W&M requested additional f.a. info (not tax returns but more detailed stuff) 1 month before decisions came out and I was waitlisted.

UR requested documentation one week before their decisions came out and I was accepted.

UVA asked for more info. on March 20, decisions come out April 1st. My mom is not going to happy if they don't take me after the trouble she went to making copies, sending the stuff registered mail, etc. Very intrusive if I'm not getting in but acceptable if they are preparing a f.a. package.

Thanks Worldshopper! What did they request?

They asked me for W-2s, tax returns, and this verification worksheet. I haven't heard back yet (I'm oos)

By the way, I'm shocked that they waitlisted you! You have amazing credentials, and I'm really nervous about my chances now!

Good luck with UVA! I hope you get in!

She already sent in 1040s and W-4 before the deadline so that was all cool; they wanted documentation for what she put under "other income" which were really just 1099s. Also evidence of an inheritance received, stuff like that. She also had to fill out that verification worksheet you received (green I believe).

And thanks for the compliment. Do NOT be discouraged if they waitlist you. Most of the people I know personally who got in had lower everything.... Seems this year, a lot of kids are getting into their reach schools -- let's just hope I get in mine :)

WM sent me a letter asking for supplemental materials including W-2's and other tax forms in February...but i'm OOS so i don't know if it's significant or not...hopefully it is...
