OK so this may have been answered elsewhere but I haven't seen it. My son just got accepted RD to MIT. When do we find out about financial aide? Thanks~!

You will get giant packet in mail soon.

shawn...i was just wondering where you hear this b/c i heard that they are doing everything electronically this year....however i do hope that they send a packet because i like having the paper rather than having to search online.

oh i read it somewhere on this forum...I'm not that sure myself now..lol...

I know many of you are eagarly awaiting financial aid information... don't despair! It will be in the mail on Wednesday, and in your mailboxes soon after that. (This goes for both EA and RA admits who have submitted complete financial aid applications)

Thanks molliebatmit!

What are the general aid guidelines? Like under what annual income are you expected to get 100% aid?

75k i think?not sure tho.

be on the lookout for that big package. I just got my aid info today in Illinois.

EAO1227,

My D just got her Financial aid package from MIT today (snail mail not email). MIT is sending the package out to admitted students this week. You will expect to receive it soon.

I know it's a strange question, but is it truly a big packet or something that can't be easily folded? MIT has my daughter's school address and they are on break. I don't want to drive all the way there and find it hasn't arrived. However, if it's too large (they have the small mailboxes you find in post-offices with a combination dial) the mailroom will send an email saying she has a package for pickup. That's how we knew her tube arrived during the holiday break. Should we wait for the email?

Padre,

The packet is actually not that big, much smaller than the tube. plus it can be folded to fit the mailbox (the tube can't), i think.

oops... sorry. repetitive info
