finding a job as a prepubescent fourteen year old...plzhelp

lawlz hi guise.

I'm trying to find some way to scrape up money this summer without a work permit. My babysitting job just ended ]:

just to clarify, I don't want money for superficial purposes. Cash is getting tighter so I'm piggy banking it up for all my extracurricular/school supplies costs so I don't have to bother mum. And okay fine maybe I do want to buy a book or two. Or five.

Do you guys have any idea or resources at all? I'm at a total loss and idk I'm trying to craigslist anything, really, but I'm going through a bad case of paranoia

any advice would help, thank you! :D

YouthRules! is a great resource for kids under the age of 18 learning about the rules and regulations and requirements for getting a job.

It can be difficult to find a job before you turn 16. Although you’re technically allowed to work at retail at your age, it’s very hard to find a place to accept you. So your options are limited. Most of the best options are not actually jobs, but simply going around and providing services such as mowing lawns, babysitting, chores, etc.

thank you so much!! :)

If there’s a Kumon in your area, they hire as young as 14 and thy have a lot of turnover, so there are usually openings.
