First impression of UC Davis?

I’m planning to visit Davis in about 3 weeks (first time I’ve ever been there) and I was wondering what kind of first impressions you guys had about Davis campus & academics? What are the best points & worst points of it?

If you have any specific questions pm me.

My first impression was great. The facilities looked great and it seemed like a fun place. Now that I’m a student here it is definitely true.

When I visited two years ago in the spring, I thought that the campus was awesome and that the people seemed really nice and just chill and laid back. It also seems like it has a pretty good college town

Davis is awesome! lol I can’t explain it you have to see it for yourself

I spent a month there (with the COSMOS program) in 2009, and I loved it. The campus is great, it’s got a laid-back atmosphere, and the food in the DC is epic. I really love how everyone bikes (I got into biking because of that month at Davis). The academics seem like they’ll be great as well.

Davis is a great combination of a large university in a small college town. Everybody bikes everywhere. Solid academics and an engaged student body. Lots of social options and close proximity to the Bay Area and Tahoe. Picnic Day is April 16th and is a great day to go (food, battle of the bands, parade, etc.) if you are there at that time. A LOT of people attend and it can get a little crazy but its a lot of fun too.
