First quarter grades submitted to college?

Hi

I'm confused about what grades to submit to college. I heard that colleges want a copy of your 1st quarter report card of your senior year. Apparently Duke in one university that requires it, but only for early decision candidates. Do colleges just see your 1st semester grades through the mid-year grade report, and not your specific quarter grades? Or do some colleges require you to submit 1st quarter grades as part of admissions, and is this for early decision/action or regular? Thanks

I think it depends. If you are extremely qualified (for example a school wants a 3.4) and you have a 3.9, they wont ask to see your grades. They will ask someone who got in with a 3.0-3.3 to show them their next grades.(im pretty sure, this happened to some of my friends, they applied to michigan state but the ones with the lower GPA's are the ones who needed to show)
