first-quarter grades

They didn't request any of my grades... I wonder how that would work too, getting a grades request right after you get out of school for Thanksgiving break. I sure hope they ask me for my first quarter grades though, lowest grade is a 92 out of my 5 AP classes.

ILR here and no request, looks like only cals/coe is doing it.

HumEc here, and they didn't request anything, but I'm having my GC fax over mine anyway since they're good. It can't hurt.

CALS hasn't sent me anything.

I'm applying to CALS too, Silverzc, and they didn't ask for mine either.

Is there anyone who applied to CoE, but did not get an email requesting the submission of 1st quarter grades?

I'm going to guess you

somni,
nah, i got an email. its just that i got a C in AP English for 1st quarter, but have atleast a B+ is all my other classes(3 other APs). I'm just freaking out that the C might mess up my chances because others said Cornell asks for 1st quarter grades from those who are "borderline" for acceptance.

Would they outright reject people who do not send their marks in?

I doubt it, but when they request grades, they expect you to send them. It would probably in some way stigmatize your application - maybe not to the point of rejection - but it would probably hurt because you wouldn't be following their instruction.

I received the same email too. On nov 20th. And then my counselor faxed it to the AO the next monday. I'm having questions too. Is it a bad thing or what? Or like I'm on borderline and they are still deciding whether they are gonna accept me or reject me?

I'm apply to ED at CoE.

yeah so weird, as far as all I've seen so far tho everyone applying to CoE that posted in CC received the request email... so maybe its not for those on borderline? perhaps everyone?

i applied to cals as my primary, and CoE as my alternate, how come i still didnt get a request from either schools??

Not everyone gets these requests. It's that simple.

well, I'll just hope it's standard procedure...and it doesn't mean anything.
(yet I'm still wondering whether everyone got it and why they requested the quarter grades.)

It is standard procedure. This happens.
Not everyone gets it.
