FIRST.

AND ********.

so what now?

wait, you just got a rejection letter?

I'm sorry to hear that. What were the dates for you letter?

did you get an oasis link today?

So sorry capn' - what other schools have you heard from?

no oasis link. status last updated 3/14. letter dated 3/27.

alamemom, I heard from occidental and loyola marymount. none of which I would ever go to, but I have no choice now.

I'm so sorry capn. You should just work really hard during your first semester and transfer in.

Wow, I can't believe this. Well Capn', it is just a school after all. You can either move on or transfer in.

I'm sorry to hear that iamcapncrunch :( God, this must completely suck. I had a feeling they'd start mailing out rejections this week. Now I have a new theory. I think if you were last updated prior to this week and didn't receive another update this week, then it could mean a rejection. I'll probably be in the same boat as you, capn.

is it even possible to transfer after a semester?

My D loved Occidental and really wavered between Oxy, USC and UCB before finally choosing USC. When we first visited, we took a friend of hers along who then decided to apply. She was accepted and absolutely LOVES it. (Our current president spent two years at OXY, btw!)

Wherever you end up, you probably won't be able to imagine yourself anywhere else after a couple of months. But if you still think of USC every now and then, PLEASE remember that USC accepts far more transfers than many other privates and even offers transfer counseling to students who were not admitted.

You have been a great contributor to this forum, and I would LOVE to see you at USC in a year or two.

Best of luck!

Yea, Oxy is an amazing school. I really like that school, I just wish they had a good film program. Haha, anyways Capn' sorry it had to happen to you but you will be just fine!

One of my friends is a LMU business grad and loved it. He made many life-long friends. If you haven't done a tour there, do so. It's a very pretty campus.

And yes, I've heard USC takes semester transfers too. Good luck!

capncrunch where are you located?

SoCal, 45 minutes away from USC.

Got a rejection letter too.

crap im about an hour away from 'SC, havn't got any sort of update since 2/03. I know im rejected but looks like ill just have to wait till monday to get it.

Sorry to hear that mmlbpsc :( Did you ever get some status updates? I'm just trying to see if there's a trend going on. I'm preparing myself for a possible rejection when I check the mail because I'm also from SoCal.

dude, i'm sorry about that. i'll be getting my rejection monday then.

I'm in SoCal too. Waiting for the mail. I'm going INSANE. Ugh... :(
