<p>How did you all do? I guess I didn’t do so bad. There’s definitely room for improvement but I think I did the best I could this semester. What about the rest of you? Come on, let’s keep this Brown 2009 board thing alive! Don’t let the 10’ers take over!</p>
<p>I have yet to get all of mine...but the ones I got have been fine. Actually, a little higher than expected in one case. What do you guys think of the proposed change to +/- grading? I have mixed feelings...if I had gotten a B in one of my classes, I would have been a little mad because I know my grade was borderline, but I got an A, and I kind of feel like I don't deserve it. On the other hand, in the interest of having a good GPA, I think it's easier without +/-. Now, if only we could just have A, B+, B, C. That would be ideal.</p>
<p>If Brown does institute a +/- system, is there any chance that it might be optional and up to the student to decide whether he wants to use that scale (like S/NC)?</p>
<p>i highly highly doubt that, because then it would become really complicated. They would have to indicate on trasncripts whether that option was used, and employers and grad schools would probably get annoyed. I thought they postponed the decision till after the start of the semester so UCS could have a meeting or something.</p>
