first year housing question

m17: well i'm glad you didnt' end up going to those other schools!! i wouldn't have met you then, lol. also, i was so excited about leaving town the past four years, i didn't even think about my safety zones. technically i don't have one... i dont' really have many friends here. but i mean, despite all the risks and our worries, it's definitely a plus to be starting over. i mean, all the mistakes, the way everyoen thinks you are, it's all completely gone. and we can be whoever we want to be. i doubt you won't find friends, good friends, there. it's liek nearly impossible.

ida: it's called governor's school. i went to the engineering and technolgoy one. it was loadsss of fun. i actually managed to get into the safety zones of some of the introverted kids, which made me feel special, lol.

What is the difference between prime, standard, and suite rooms?

prime i think is just you have your own bathroom? that's the only difference i can see anyways. standard is, well, standard. and suite (how i lived when i went to gov school) is almost like aprt. style, except not as hardcore. multiple bedrooms, living area, own bathroom.

i'm going to bedddd.
i have calc review at 9 in the morninggg
(i actually love calc so i don't mind too much)

it was nice talking to you all!!
my sn I'm using for CMU is outdated731 if any of you
(or anyone else who happens upon this thread)
wants to talk more!

ok so standard is having a bathroom on the floor and suite and prime have bathrooms in the room? what the difference between suite and prime then? sorry if im being pesky by i really have no idea :-P

huh, so coed by wing is more integrated than by floor or no? by wing they mean ...separate sections of the buildings or just areas of each floor (I do feel silly asking this, but It is better to ask than to not know...)

also, is there good public transportation at CMU. I dont intend on driving at all, so...

love and calc in the same sentence makes me nervous

lol

actually i <kinda> like calc but due to the fact that i did NOTHING but pass notes and sleep in that class...did hinder any progress i should have made...lol</kinda>

goodnight!!

goodnight notaprettygirl! haha, calculus....

hey NotAPrettyGirl, thanx for giving that file

Coed by wing is basically having one gender on one-half of one floor and the other gender on the other half of the floor. By the way, is it mandatory that we send in every form from the enrollment package back to the admissions office at CMU? I noticed there was an "Interfaith Council Card", federal loan forms (I did not apply for FA), and other forms that might not pertain to me.

probably not (but i dunno.)

prime - four/three/two girls in one room. maybe like two of those rooms together. so the total setup would be three rooms.

suite - maybe like three rooms of two per. plus a living area, then the bathroom. maybe five rooms total?

yea, that's by wing...two wings per floor.

i only know all of this through like, the cmu website and from what i've read on this forum. so haha, i apologize if i'm incorrect.

okay, I understand.
krabble88 - dont send in the forms you don't think pertain to you... If they really need them then they will ask. I'm sure a lack of information about your membership to the interfaith council will not effect their housing decisions...
