I had an easy midweek “long” run of 7.5 miles and could have kept going, but I just get bored.

Here’s me, but substituting the word “bored” for “tired”:

The gym is moving to a larger space this weekend and next, but with the distractions of the movers and a church letting out, my Murph time was 40:44. My 2nd best time this run.

Spent the day hiking at Crater Lake.
Cleetwood Cove was 2.2 miles round trip and took us down to the lake.
The Watchman was 1.6 miles round trip to a cool overlook.
Garfield Peak was 3.6 miles, included great lake views and at the top had amazing views of the lake and the Klamath basin to the south (highest point in 1st picture)

Toss in getting to trail heads and wandering around ended north of 11 miles and 26k steps

Crater Lake is, hands down, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. Enjoy!!!

Still over here playing lots of tennis and pickleball and walking, walking, walking. Have added in a bit of biking (25-30 mile rides) recently, as that’s H’s favorite mode of exercise.

Overall, feeling strong, fit and healthy. Huge change from last summer.

Today’s hike was Crater Peak (6.4 miles). No lake views but lots of cool forest views. From top we could sort of see Klamath Lake. It was great we only saw 3 people all morning

Happy anniversary!

Having a hard time getting in the groove to run in the heat. Was up early today but went back to bed when I saw 70% chance of rain. But later in the morning I did ride to the lake trail and walk 4k.

We are now on the Oregon coast for a couple of days. Yesterday we did 11k of steps walking to dinner and exploring their neighborhood. Today we walked 16k of steps on the beach and a path up to the boat channel

My gym officially closed yesterday, although I thought I had until Friday at midnight. But the gym actually closed Thursday at midnight.

The gym owner let me get in one last workout inside the gym, while nearly everything was in a state of disassembly. I decided to get my SBD (squat, bench, deadlift), since one rack was left standing. Then I hit 15 rope climbs, as quickly as possible and then closed with a 30-minute run on the CMT (curved manual treadmill).

Today, since I didn’t feel like cleaning out my home gym of dirt, dust and leaves, I ran my “Pandemic Murph.” An outdoor 82-degree run to a park on a hill with a pull-up bar, push-ups performed in dirt and rocks, which didn’t feel too good on the hands and knees.

Anyways, my time was 54:58.

Will you find a new gym?

Why did they close? And what now?

Oops I thought I’d told the story already. The gym is moving to a larger space, about 5-10 mins further from my home.

And “we” will be getting some more racks and new equipment, hopefully some of it I’ll actually want to use.

And a new rope for my rope climbs. :grinning: The old one is fraying and rope remnants are being left on the floor after each use, like yesterday.

I’d be in deep doo-doo, if he closed the gym permanently. Very, very few gyms fulfill all my needs/requirements.
