<p>So I'm a Liberal Arts major right now (English) transferring from UF to South Florida (personal and financial reasons, yadda yadda). </p>
<p>Anyways, I got accepted to these schools and am in a bit of a pickle. Which one should I pick? Frankly, I'm not 100% on my English degree, and was considering branching out to something related to computers, but again, I'm very fickle and undecided. So I guess just think of me as: Undecided, but leaning towards Liberal Arts.</p>

<p>With those majors it’s roughly the same so I’d start considering other factors. </p>
<p>For instance, FAU is right near the beach, Boca Raton is a safer and cleaner city than Miami, better sports teams, etc. </p>
<p>FIU is more urban, has a larger Hispanic population and… what else. They have a nice art museum. Probably cheaper housing down there.</p>
<p>I’ve heard that FAU has a stronger Computer Science and Liberal Arts focus.
Is this true, or balonie?</p>
<p>Liberal Arts is pretty much pick a bunch of classes ya want and finish with a degree at FIU.</p>
<p>As for Computer Science depends what your into in computers, e.g. if you are into more along the lines of database systems and if your looking for working for the NSA they actually one of the few universities in the U.S. not available at FAU. If I were you I would also consider IT major which is more open not as programming heavy. FAU However, is a programming heavy school so if that’s your thing go there NOT FIU.</p>
<p>With that However, FIU focus is on International, Health, and Business. </p>
<p>FIU tends to be urban, expensive housing, can have distractions, very ethnic (can either be a pro or a con depending on your tolerance of race), and very different from the UF campus life. So if your focused on graduation it might be a good fit for you due to it having more transfer students then incoming freshmen. Definitely a more mature environment. </p>
<p>My suggestion is you figure out what things are important to ya.</p>

<p>One thing that’s amazing about FAU it’s in the middle of nowhere like UF. FIU gets kinda hectic sometimes -__- TOOOO MANNYY PEOPLE</p>
