Hey guys! the work studey job postings are listed today. Are any of you doing work study?
I was planning to do it, but wasn’t sure because I don’t know how much of a time commitment it would be. I know BU is hard, and I don’t know if I will have enough time to do work and school at the same time! Ah!
Are there any current students who can give me some advice???

The time commitment issue depends on you. I believe the minimum number of hours you are expected to work are approx. 6-8. Every job is somewhat different in their expectations, but those are the usual hours per week that a student is expected to work if they are doing workstudy. I work for the Office of Financial Assistance and as a Teaching Assistant for C++, and they are both Work Study. I recommend that you get direct deposit. BU is very hard, and you aren't required to work workstudy just because you were awarded it in your Financial Aid, so you can try it and see if you can handle both the job and the work study. If you find that this is a difficult task, you can give up your work study by simply writing a letter to the Office of Financial Assistance.
