for JUNIORS who are ready to get onto THE PERILOUS ROAD

Over the summer, I'll either have a cancer research internship or take a political science class at UCLA.

I'm most likely applying early to Harvard.

mm.. my aunt is kicking me back to Taiwan during July. So i might work as a dentist assistant and study hard for the SAT. I'm goiing to a Music Camp and a biology camp in June.
oh yes, i might apply early to Princeton

Hell yeah.

I'm applying October 5th to the University of Michigan. That's my birthday, so it seems like a good date for me to finish an application.

Looks like I'll take college credit classes somewhere over the summer.

And I'll be doing 5 subjects worth of AP homework...(English possibly, Calc AB, Econ, Euro, Enviro). Great.
:)

Oh yeah I'm doing Rolling Admissions at Rutgers and probably Michigan.

Over the summer, I will be taking some classes at the local CC, taking dance classes, going to dance camp, and possibly working at a grocery store.

I'm taking 4 AP tests, SATs in May, SAT IIs in June, and I will retake the SATs in October if necessary.

I will be doing Rice (Interim Decision), USC (before the Dec. 10th deadline), University of Houston (really early, they have rolling admissions), and the rest of the schools will be RD (Brown, Northwestern, and WashU).

This thread can't die! Where are all the juniors?!

Well ok.

Already done with SAT and 1/3 SAT II. Taking 3 APs in May, one SAT II then, and then one in June. I'm totally unprepared for June; I really ought to get on that. As for the summer, meh. Training for XC, hanging out with some friends, reading. Oh, and this Boy's State thing. I'm kinda looking forward to it; does anyone know if it is worthwhile in the college admissions process?

I don't know about college admissions but it looks like an awesome program to be involved with. I asked my GC about it so she might think of me when nominating people but I don't think she wanted to because she already nominated me for like three other programs... D:

My friend was nominated and he got in, though.

One guy I know who went last year is going to Princeton next year, and my friend who went to Girls State last year got into some pretty good schools, too.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good summer programs in the bay area that will look good on college apps?

try yale summer session: you actually take a range of yale college courses with actual yale students on campus.:)

Hopefully doing SSP this summer. If not, then off to china!

The school i'm going to goto(USC) I did not really think about or really hear about til November ish. U never know what's going to happen.

this is a stupid question but im wondering what junior you are talking about (9th grade) because im worried about all this talk about the psat and the sat?

SAT=longest test of your life (other than the bar, CPA, etc). Four hours long. Math/Verbal/Grammar/Essay. Total waste of a saturday morning. You need it to go to college. Good SAT=Good college. Out of 2400. So 2400=Harvard. (just kidding) :)

PSAT=second longest test of your life (other than the bar, CPA etc). Three hours long. Math/Verbal/Grammar. Prepares for the SAT. Out of 240. Good PSAT=money/national merit. So 240=money/Harvard (just kidding :) )

The ACT is just as long as the SAT. Or about the same, whatever. Depends on whether you take writing or not.

ACT reading is easier than the SAT CR right?

junior as in kids currently in grade 11, who are the next batch of victims (or winners) for the upcoming november college admissions.

OMG...I am a junior. Yay go 2007!! I have a lot of work to do though before my senior year.

Get a 27 ACT composite

Make my resume a bit more competitive

Get a job

It will be interesting to look back on this in five years...

how much of a perfectionist I am...it is going to hit me in the face.

<3

I just need to...

Finalize my summer plans
