I got deferred to Wharton, I’m a bit dissapointed, but I guess I’ll live. I posted so that all of us who got deferred/deined can offer sympathy to each other. So…I love you all!

yep, deferred... im so disappointed.

deferral sucks.

i dont know what to do.

rejection is worse

i concur. rejection sucks
meep

Anyone know the chances of deferrals being accepted? To Wharton? Waiting list? I know they're dismal....

hey guys... i feel ya all... i got deferred by Wharton but im not upset at all... i figured it happened for a good cause, b/c maybe i'd be happier some place else... don't be bummed, there's still chance to get in and there are so many other great schools out there.... Best of luck to everyone w their apps and the Penn deferal

it's 15%...

Penn/Wharton was definitely my dream, but not all goals can be achieved. Now I will move on, dreaming bigger and trying harder than ever before. I suggest to everyone who is rejected to think positively. Instead of a megalith that will crash you, make the rejection a step-stone for your other goals. In the end, acceptance or rejection will become equally valuable for you.

hey i got flat out rejected...but to all you defferals, i wish you the best of luck and do everything you can to get in

I leave with this
How far are we going to take this?
The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed?

deferred here...and im pretty ****ed....i dont want you guys feelin depressed...penn has definitely dropped in my eyes after so many amazing ppl from my school got deferred...no sympathy, anger...

Rejected from Dartmouth- I know how it feels. I'm so sorry guys, but remember that the world hasn't ended. There are bigger and better things awaiting us.

Even though it sucks, we should look ahead....no use waiting until April...

Where is everyone else who got deferred/rejected applying to?
Here's my list:

And I've been accepted already to Indiana University

anyone else think the letter was mean? "we looked at your app sooooo thoroughly that now we're even more positive you aren't good enough for us...i'm sure you can get into a good college" bahh sorry im just super bitter
let's see:
new york university
carnegie mellon
american

wow perfectfourth, i have almost the exact same list as you have lol

yea, i got rejected from the college

My advice is to really nail down some other great schools that you think you have a great shot at. Start working on the applications and make sure you can get those Letters of Rec. in on time to the other schools. Also note, there are some EDII options out there as well. This is not an easy time especially since some of your friends might already know where they are going but develop of a plan of action for going to college next year and think about what programs and schools you would like to attend.

Best of luck.

yeah. ugh.

Deferred from Wharton. This really really sucks.

hey... according to Zirkon those of us who got deferred from Huntsman, were not considered for Wharton. Does this mean that we can still be accepted at Wharton early?

i was deferred too, not so fun. but at least its not rejection... I'm not going down without a fight. I'm a little anxious about the other schools I'm applying to now, I'm afraid there's not enough/any safties on it. All your lists are helpful and any more suggestions for safties, or ones you applying to, would def be appreciated. thanks guys... lets keep our heads up
