accepted to rose hill from ny!

I’m so excited! I got my acceptance letter in the mail today, and I live in CT, only about an hour away from the city. I got into Lincoln Center. It’s my top choice.

do all accepted applicants are guaranteed 4 years housing?

I don’t think so. I believe they have limits housing.

The only students not offered housing are those who are commuter students. If you are offered housing at Fordham, you are guaranteed housing for four years. Whether its LC or Rose Hill. If you are international and you don’t have a housing offer, you need to contact Admissions IMMEDIATELY and let them know so they can clarify. They wont stick you out in the cold.

Congratz to all!!!
i also got accepted into the Rose Hill campuse. But do you guys have any information regarding your admitted majors on your letters? How do I know what major I am admitted in?

Fordham is expensive, but it has a very high discount rate (the average amount by which the ticket price is reduced). In fact, its discount rate is higher than Georgetown and BC.

For many students (especially those most academically talented) the 10,000 scholarship does increase around regular decision notification time. The award can even double or triple.

Good luck to everyone. Fordham is a special place.

@ghostbuster: do you know were the Nov SAT’s considered in the early action application?
Thanks

Thick envelope arrived in the mail today for my son. We’re in So. Calif. (He’s still sleeping and recovering from finals. )

Large envelope arrived but D is out. Can’t stand the uncertainty.

Yenrod…be careful please…not to get people too hyped up on money. It can go up for SOME. But not for all. And Fordham’s financial aid office and scholarship committee are notorious. I will leave it at that. Yes…some may see improvement. But many wont and some will have to go elsewhere if they can’t afford it. I’ve seen it happen many times here at Fordham and many published here on CC in years past.

To parents: If you got a thick envelope…its good news. They dont send big thick envelopes to say, “sorry but you didnt quite make it in this year’s highly qualified class.”

Congrats and good luck to everyone.

goldenlab:

I don’t quite know the answer to that question. It may well depend on when Fordham got those scores and if your file had already been reviewed and acted upon. I dont think there is any one answer. It depends. I’m not an employee nor do I play a role in the admissions process. (I have lots of friends at Fordham however and from their trusted commentary I can make my best guesstimates as to what goes on. Plus real life stories of existing students at Fordham.)

Did you hear anything?

I just my decision in the mail! Accepted and the Semi-finalist scholarship!

Got the big envelope today. I’m in! From Chicago.

Is there any chance of a semi-finalist scholarship if I got the dean’s scholarship currently? I am a semi-finalist with a 34 ACT.

i’m from ohio and received a thick white envelope with a red folder inside with an acceptance to fordham college at rose hill!

Are all of the letters sent out the same day? I’ve heard of people in our area (Washington State) who have heard, but still nothing here…

My d got the semifinalist scholarship ! Any chance she will be reviewed for the presidential in April? How does that work?

so i am from a New England, and still have recieved nothing. Is this a bad sign? Getting pretty nervous.

BU - at Fordham you are accepted to the college, not to a major–you just need to declare a major I think by the end of your soph. year.
Re housing: Some people who ask for housing are accepted without housing, these students typically live close enough to commute (but not always). If you get housing, it is guaranteed for all 4 years.
Congrats to those who got in, good luck to those still waiting.
