@Mamalumper I think letting my counselor call them is more appropriate… but will they spend their time to give me specific answers on my application? There are so many applicants… I’m afraid that they don’t care about mine…
I think they will care if your counselor calls. They will care about treating your high school counselor with respect to maintain a good relationship with your school, and you have a reasonable question. Your stats are good.
DEFERRED
I was very shocked I got deferred because I’d been sent special early presidential applications and a fee waver and dozens of emails from the school. What’s up with that?

Good ECs with solid leadership
Really excited!
There are always surprise cases… a friend of mine got into BU with 1600 SAT and 3.3 GPA… and you know their average is somewhere between 2000-2100…
D accepted to Lincoln Center. Catholic High School. Outstanding ECs. State and National Speech and Debate and some very unique leadership experiences. 700CR 710M 700W. 3.4 Unweighted.
No merit aid.
Apparently if it didn’t say merit aid on the acceptance letter you’re not getting anything…
D got accepted to RH, 3.69 gpa, 33 ACT, decent ECs, but no merit aid. Won’t be an option with out decent merit aid.
Does anyone know what the usually range is for the Dean’s Scholarship? They said “at least $15,000” so I just want an idea of how high that can go. (Accepted 2260 SAT 32 ACT 3.9UW 4.45W GPA great ECs and recs)
@dilldog. You mean the tactic that every university uses? Some of which are notorious for? Look, I get it, you hate Fordham, stop projecting on the rest of everyone here. Most got deferred , not rejected here. I see your type here all the time, bitter and angry that college didn’t work out the way you wanted. Guess what? That’s almost every college that happens to someone, somewhere. It’s not a unique story, espcially in this economy.
So stop, particularly since you’re doing this to perspective students.
Accepted Lincoln Center. 3.65 GPA 28 ACT. Great recs. Founded a charity that raised over 150K for children in cancer treatment. Won several national awards for dance, art and writing. Work displayed in several NYC art galleries. Created a profitable portrait business. Well traveled. Submitted art portfolio.
@layla2016 I’m not too sure they go higher for the Dean’s scholarship. Take a look at Fordham’s official scholarship list page and it seems to say just $15K. When they say at least they might mean unrelated money that you would also get, like random scholarships and your financial aid. It appears to me people either got the full ride or the 15K at this point, which is disappointing because personally 15K is not going to be enough for me.
I learned tonight that merit awards only came out for ED. If you applied EA and got in, merit awards are going to be mailed February 1st.
@tam920 - That’s not accurate. At least some EA awards were given, too, but possibly not all that will be awarded. (My S applied EA and received a merit award.)
Got deferred from the Gabelli School of Business, unfortunately. Was kind of surprised since I was accepted to NYU.
3.67 GPA 32 ACT, good essay, very focused and in depth ECs, and a good counselor rec.
Congratulations to all those who were accepted ED/EA though! I had the privilege to visit, and Rose Hill is an extremely beautiful campus!
Accepted - Gabelli School of Business

4 years varsity and travel hockey, other decent ecs
Very nice counselor rec
Probably won’t go due to other acceptances and lack of aid… Congrats to all those accepted!
@srinivs Yeah they do, but there is no separate application for it. You just have to be invited.
accepted to rose hill 3.8 uw gpa 27 act good ec’s and letters of rec and great essay
Accepted to Lincoln Center!

Likely cannot attend due to $$, but congrats everyone!
DD accepted EA to Rose Hill with $15K Dean’s Scholarship. 4.5 GPA, 33 ACT, sports and ECs. Lots of APs. Probably International Studies major.
