Fordham Honors?

meg332, congrats!!! to me it is annoying that you either get in or they don’t say anything. . . so i dont want to be waiting for months and months for a letter that is never going to come ya know? and yenrod, thanks for the perspective! i could do well in massive lectures or small classes. i really like the core of the honors program.

Well good luck and hang in there- you’ll definitely know by the beginning of April

I’ve loved the honors core. It’s just a really great program in general.

I’m in Honors along with yenrod. If you get into the Honors Program, you really shouldn’t have a doubt in your mind whether or not to come to Fordham. Come. It is one of the best educations you can get at any college. Combined with a hefty scholarship, your decision should be a done deal.

I know you’re all focused on getting into college right now, but think of the big picture: no loans means you’re free to do whatever you want after college. You can get your parents to chip in some money for law school, med school, or a master’s degree. You can focus on trying to get fellowships, such as a Fulbright. You can get a job without worrying that you’ll be 40 by the time you’ve paid off all your loans. Or you can just go on tour with your band or travel for a year. All with an education that’s just as good as any top-25 school in the nation.

The Honors Program is a great opportunity. We are a close community of students that love to engage in class and are active all around the university. It was a hard decision for me to choose Fordham over all of the other schools I got into, but in retrospect I realize that it’s opened much more doors for me than it has closed.

Good luck.
