rosheena: keep trying as suggested. But Pakistan is southwest asia. Southeast Asia is the area from Burma to Vietnam.

ibther: its an honor and offered to a few students. Take it. And its designed to get you to commit. There is also a general admitted students weekend mid April and is attended by everyone and you get to meet your classmates.

soli deo gloria: every year weird stuff happens in college admissions at almost every school. In the end, EC’s are a factor but not a deciding factor…its all about the numbers: SAT, GPA, Course rigor, toughness of your school. Even then weird stuff happens. Its infuriating. But you arent alone. Stay focused. Submit senior year first semester grades ASAP, tell Fordham your level of interest (be honest) and you stand a good chance to get in RD. EA is a highly competitive applicant pool. Typically they only take the top of that pool…and defer the rest. There are exceptions.

How many kids from your school applied to Fordham?

Just breathe. Relax. Submit your grades and letter of interest. And then wait…have a plan B in case they defer you again.

My kid got bumped around badly in the EA cycle…and got in RD at Fordham (her only application to Fordham), and meanwhile friends with worse grades got into Ivy schools and other elite LAC’s …stuff happens.

Good luck.

Getting nervous…we haven’t heard anything yet. My d applied EA and auditioned for theatre performance. SAT’s 1950, rank, 12/340, GPA uw 3.9, w 4.15, 5 APs, two 5’s so far, lots of EC’s and volunteer. Any ideas when notifications will come?

Was she deferred and you are wondering when she will hear regular decision? If she applied EA and never heard anything at all, you have to check online with the account the provided for you. There was not a decision letter mailed out for EA.

She hasn’t heard anything yet, and there is no change to the online portal. She applied EA and Priority Performance. It says the Priority Performance admissions are rolling so I guess we’ll still have to wait…

I would call admissions and ask them the status. Good luck.

Well, they said the Priority Performance acceptance is on a rolling basis…it’s been a LONG 3 1/2 months waiting…might not know until end of March.

We could read the tea leaves in that and be wrong. So its pointless to speculate one way or another. In the meantime, just wait…and then on April 1 you will know all the responses from all of her applications and will be able to decide between competing offers.

Dance and Drama are incredibly competitive…both for college and for professional gigs. Wicked competitive. A different realm than just academic applicants.

I wish you well. Its not fun and its not easy…you just have to go through it to get to where you want to go. So be sanguine.

Good luck.

Thanks. Crystal ball is cracked so it’s just a waiting game. She’s got 2 acceptances and waiting on Fordham and 2 others. She really loved fordham and applied to the school even of she doesn’t get in to the theatre program. She can minor and still audition for all the shows. Her singing teacher will connect her with someone at the Met for her singing…so it would be the perfect place :-). It’ll all wok out in the end.

Does anybody know when EA applicants who were deferred in december will hear back?

By April 1st, when all the regular decision applicants are notified. We are no longer Early Admission, we were deferred to Regular.

Just wanted to say if you guys have any questions about LC stuff feel free to PM me! Not very knowledgable about the new dorm or Gabelli program though.

I’m also an LC student. Feel free to PM me any questions as well. Although, Match is better versed than me.

I actually did get into Fordham with a 15,000 scholarship and 5000 for commuter. But because of the distance, I couldn’t attend rose hill and Inwasnt aware you could change campuses. :frowning:
