Found Bluemer

I'm sorry MomofHopeful. I was getting your daughter and IMAFLYRsMOM's daughter mixed up. Yes, I do see your daughter and think I am beginning to recognize her when I see her now. I will watch for her. Actually, it is funny. As much as I have searched the photos, I am beginning to see some of the same faces over and over but not my son. My guy must also have some aversion to the camera. Here is the best picture we have come up with so far. He is the third from the left on the front row. <a href="http://www.printroom.com/ViewGalleryPhoto.asp?userid=aog1959&gallery_id=744761&image_id=24%5B/url%5D">http://www.printroom.com/ViewGalleryPhoto.asp?userid=aog1959&gallery_id=744761&image_id=24</a></p>

What? no movie for the 4th? I thought the basics usually got some military type movie...what happened?

I also assume no candy will be thrown to them either this year. :(

Yeah, I too noticed there was no movie. Bummer. I am glad that they get fireworks though. Geez, it's not going to be right with out my cadet here for the fourth. I have a feeling it is going to be a hard night. (Well, harder than it has already been...) I can't seem to get used to being so quiet at home. I wonder if they will put up any pictures.

patriotmom - I will keep my eyes peeled for him. I have seen so many faces now they are all muddled together! I am starting to recognize some in the unit/squad or whatever they call it. So that helps sift through things somewhat faster - but not by much!!!

MomofHopeful, here is a better link to a picture of my son. <a href="http://www.printroom.com/ViewGalleryPhoto.asp?userid=aog1959&gallery_id=748775&tcount=81&scount=62%5B/url%5D">http://www.printroom.com/ViewGalleryPhoto.asp?userid=aog1959&gallery_id=748775&tcount=81&scount=62</a>
He is the second cadet from the left on the front row. The one with his cap cocked up. ( : That's the way he always wears a ball cap.

My husband says they line up tallest to shortest. That might help as you look for your daughter.

Happy Fourth of July to all. We have much to celebrate!

patriotmom - yes that is a better photo of him. I will make him a new mission to find!

Yes, 4th of July is here - so much to celebrate. Frist time in 24 years that we there are no kids around. All the kids are gone - the nearest one is 450 miles away! Guess we'll have a quiet 4th this year. Any other new empty nesters out there? It's kind of wierd, isn't it?

I'm a new empty nester. It took me about three days of mourning until I realized it was okay to miss him and still enjoy the benefits of being an empty nester. My house has never stayed so clean and my grocery bill has been cut in half. :-)

Yes, I can see those benefits of empty nesting for sure! Won't be long before I confirm that kids are the mess makers (they tell me we are just as bad as they are - we'll find out pretty quicly who is messy and who is not!). We already notice the grocery bill is way down - now I have to learn to cook for two again - we went from cooking for a crowd at nearly every meal to cooking for two in a days time. Her last week here we had other kids (and lots of them) every night - some staying over to breakfast. It is pretty quiet now for sure.

Note to self: Do not wear make-up to inprocessing day. And don't bring so much stuff!! Holy cow, it's hard to carry a bag that's your size while you're trying to run up the core values ramp to catch up with your classmates! But I did not have a blow dryer in there with all my other civvie contraband, thank you very much. I would have an afro. :)

The 4th of July was a ton of fun. I'm pretty sure I was the only one dancing like a crazy woman but I'm okay with that. ;)
