frecklybeckly is happy now

this is what she thinks of UM now:

"A few things:

I saw Ann Arbor this past weekend and LOVED it, especially the Residential College.

I am happy to inform you all the I have just been accepted to the UM School of Music for voice performance. I now have the option to pursue a dual degree"

Wow, Becky...not only am I thrilled to hear you loved UM, but on top of being admitted there, to be admitted for voice performance is a huge accomplishment! You done good, girl! I have a child who auditioned for the BFA in Musical Theater there which is not the same (they take very few for that) but it is also located in the School of Music and it all seemed really great. We saw kids trying out for the Vocal Performance major that same day too. It is a really fine place to go to school. My kid loved it too.

Happy for your and best of luck!
Susan

FB,
That is wonderful news! Congratulations!

Please also post after you go there so we can keep following your experiences.

Well, I'm an opera singer (had my debut at age 52). And, I'm so good at it, that I have a solo role next week - as a pantomime, where I don't even get to open my mouth.

Had to grow a handle-bar moustache, though, and dye my hair black. Freckly-beckly: you should try it.

Thanks for posting that news, simba.

Someone tell SBMom that another bottle of cyber champagne is required! What an exciting journey you have ahead of you, FB. So, so pleased for you.

Congratulations!
