Actually, difficulty depends on major, and competition for that major. I was talking about overall difficulty before.

knix,

I graduated from UCLA, actually, so I know quite a bit about how transfer, on-campus housing, and the whole UCLA monster works.

I say you're a match because you have the GPA, you seem to be active at your CC, and unless you completely flub your essays, you're a real champ.

Out-of-state is the only thing that keeps match from being safety.

hey pirate.. seems like UCLAri is taking on your duty as the UC expert. haha nevertheless, you guys are equally helpful to poor little out of state transfers like me.. i'll apply to UCLA when i get 60 credits under my belt.. and if i dont get accepted.. i'll hunt you down-- also that UCLAri guy. joke

Ari is a good guy, we are just trying to lend assistance to those who are in the same situation we have been in. Good luck.

UCLAri: thanks.. that gave me some confidence to apply. um, anyways.. i just went to UCLA's site and i seems like they admitted less out of state transfers compared to Cal.. 48 out of 348 to be exact.. that's some wobbly number. yikes! i really do hope i have a chance.. since you've mentioned your expertise in the UCLA system, are there scholarship/ financial aid packages available for me? (let's believe for a second that i got admitted).. i know there wont be alot since californians are their main priority, but will there be any for us?

hey mr. erik the captain of the ship, yo.. you think USC's a good school to fall back on if UCLA wont accept my out of state ass? what do you think are my chances of getting in there? thanks.

Oh, I see. Now that Ari's not around you've come back to seek counsel from the captain. Nah, I think I'm feeling kinda tired right now.

Why don't you e-mail me a pic, and I'll tell you what I know. Quid pro quo baby, ya know.

haha.. what?.. a pic? whoops, pirate.. this isnt a dating site as suggested by the name.. its "college confidential" baby.. silly erik. i never thought you'd ask for something in return just to justify all the help you've given me.. let's see.. maybe if you can guarantee acceptance for my UC applications, then i'll send you a pic.. get me into the UC system and i'll hop aboard your ship, captain. otherwise, im fine with having you as my faithful UC consultant..

LOL @ knix's comment!!!

haha that poor pirate.. his lonesome self and a little parrot..
yo erik the captain, no offense, eh? i know you can take a giddy joke..

PS "little parrot" does not mean anything carnal.. dont take it as little you- know- what.. its just that even the famous captain hook was accompanied by his little parrot.. haha its literary symbolism, mr. pirate.. nothing sensual.

Well, it was worth a shot. Can you blame me? After all, you do sound kinda hot.

Are you sure? I live pretty close to the beach. I'm a scholar. Girls like me [...]

k , when i try to submit, the window that says i only have 70 units , do not meet the 90 units as a junior transfer... so like, AP's and classes taken from CC dont count??

Do you have the IGETC complete? Are you talking quarter units or semester units. 90 quarter=60 semester, 70 is only 40. Are you transferring from UC or CC? Your units must be UC transferrable. Don't hold me to this, but I think AP exams are only applicable towards certain requirements. Also, make sure your WIP and planned courses add up to the required units.

Call admissions quickly!

really now? so you think im hot huh?.. well, youve seen nothing yet, literally.. im hot burp as hell burp.. haha btw, im a scholar too.. a place near the beach is pretty tempting, though.. nah. we'll see, what ever that means. haha this is ridiculous captain.. girls like you? why's that? they must be blind or something? sheesh.. or perhaps they have a terrible preference for guys.. hmm. just kidding

Wow, a girl who burps. Now I'm in love. Just kidding dear, why we hardly know each other.

transferring from UC to UC, and ya 70 is quarter units... units from CC are all UC transferrable.. actually im only wondering if the AP's count. but anywayz, i already submitted, i think calling the admissions cant help anywayz, cuz i listed all the courses im currently taking and planning to take+AP's+CC courses which i took during high school years. but the thing is that it says i already have 61 UC units without counting the coures im taking and plan to take on my transcript...:( im confused. but ya...

uh-huh....
