Is it weird that I have yet to receive any information about where I will be living next year? Has anyone gotten any notices or updates? Do you know when we will be notified? I will be a freshman at Stern in less than two moths, if that helps.

go here:

and on the top left you’ll see where u will be living

Mine says Third No. Ts-0407A-2.

what the hell does that meaann! I’m dyyiinngg! I want to know if its 2 person or 4, or 6! And when will we know our roommates! I cannot wait until Aug 3rd, no no its torturee!

but im glad i at least got 3N :DD yaayy so excited!!

I think you’re on floor 4, room 7? From what I can tell 3N is usually 4/6 people in a suite (but only 2 people per room). For example I’m Ts-1003B-2. I assume the B means that I’m in the second double in the suite, therefore there’s at least 4 people in my suite. The “-2” meaning I’m person 2/2 in that room.

This is speculation of course, I might’ve just pulled that out of my ass.

RU-0801A-1

what does that mean???

RU-0714A-1. yay parkwest :]

I’m guessing that 0801A-1 would mean eighth floor, Room 1A?
But I’m no expert, it’s just a guess.

Br-1530a-2

RU = Rubin

Br = Brittany

The first two numbers are the floor. The next two are the room. The letter is the bedroom within the room (the letters will be over the door when you walk in). The number after the dash is the number you’re assigned out of the people in the room (and it doesn’t matter).

Thanks for the info, nyutimestwo!

Thanks a lot ^_^

does anyone have comments on this?

I can’t wait to see all my fellow Rubin…eers? XD

wonderful thank you! ah im soo excited!

hello fellow third north-er :] heh we should be friends :]

Ya-alim - The -10 rooms are nice. I lived in 1610 way back when for 6 semesters. Looks like they have tripled one of the rooms though.

Here’s some info from the NYU Housing wiki -
*-10: This suite is generally split into one LCT and one double with one connecting bathroom. Both rooms are a good size and it is easy to get by without bunking the beds in the triple. one closet in each room. GREAT view of 5th ave.

Here’s some pictures of the lobby and building.-

Someone just posted on the other message board that the info on the housing website for NYU will be changing on August 1st that it is not final and may not be correct!! What!!! BR-0730A-01

heyitzerin – haha, maybe we should. :)

It’s funny to see people telling you info based on your number alone. Does anyone have any inkling what my 3rd north suite might look like (# posted above)?

My D lived in Third North last year in a double room that was part of a suite that also included a single room, in which lived an RA. The layout was basically: you walk out of the hall into a common living area. The single bedroom was directly off the living area to the left of the front door. Next came a tiny kitchen (not enough room for a table, but enough to cook in, and then the bathroom to the left and the door to the double bedroom to the right. The double bedroom wasn’t huge but it was a decent sized and fit in two single beds and two desks. (There are no dressers provided in Third Avenue North: you store extra clothing in drawers underneath your bed. Not the greatest, but it worked out OK.) There are no closet doors, but you can rig up a curtain if you feel you want to separate your hanging clothing from the outside of the room. One really nice thing about Third North is the dining hall is right there, so lots of kids go downstairs in their PJs and get breakfast and take it upstairs.

@notmamarose:
Could your D fit a good amount of clothing in those drawers and the closet space? Is there any room to get a small plastic storage container/drawer things? I just do not know how to condense my clothing… ha. I’ll just have to find a way, maybe even put drawers in the common room… lol.

when I called NYU housing, they said that the housing assignment will change the 1st week of august, and stressed that the assignment we got isn’t officially our room.
not 100% sure if they will change everyone around, but hopefully they will give some of us ED people the dorms that we want, instead of placing us into our last choice dorms.

Hey thanks!!

Does this mean I’m in a LCT? I didn’t apply for low-cost, I don’t think. But I’m glad to know that the -10 rooms are nice! How was your experience at 1610?
