@Pancaked-do you know where to find a floor plan for the Hank Ingram dorm? It looks like this is from before it was built.

Lucky 1313, I don’t know how many larger rooms there are in Crawford, but they are probably corner rooms that are used as triples.

The rooms in the Hank Ingram house (“Hank House”) are mostly pretty standard–decent size, with a bed, desk, and dresser on each opposing wall, closets to the left and the right of the door. The furniture can be moved to a different configuration if you choose. Some kids put the beds in an L shape; others leave them across from each other. There are huge triples at the end of the halls. Floors are single-sex, multiple bathrooms on each floor with one or two showers in each. If you pm me with an email address, I can send you photos of my D’s freshman room in Hank.

My son got his move in package in NJ today… Thanks for the info Lenny2

From the floor plan post, does it look like these rooms have 3 closets to you? West 205 and West 223?

^^
That’s how I would read the floor plan. Boy, wouldn’t that be nice.

Yes! I see that I can buy tickets for the football game on parents weekend online at ticketmaster today. Is there any reason to wait until they go for sale through the parents weekend registration process? If I get them today, I know I will have them. Will the parents weekend tickets set aside by the school go fast?

No envelope today and the mailing address has disappeared from YES. I was hoping to order items today. : (

The Crawford corner rooms are doubles, not triples. A big room doesn’t mean 3 people.

If you see 3 closets, it may be a triple.

Pancaked, the floor plan says they are doubles, and son has his roommate assignment (just one roomate). Do they ever change that after the notice has gone out? They are already making their plans for the room.

It’s certainly a double then. The floor plans are old. May have 3 closets, may not. Some have an extra closet because they are smaller than regular closets.

Go9ers…I hope your address is back so you can order tax-free today or tomorrow!

Son’s housing package arrived in NE Ohio yesterday. I can’t believe we only have him for two more weeks!

Do guys tend to do the rod & curtain for the closets?

I’m in Alabama, but I still haven’t received any housing information yet.
I don’t quite understand how it can take longer for the mail to arrive in Alabama than it takes to arrive in Ohio or New Jersey.
Hopefully, it’ll arrive soon.

Package arrived in California today. S has a room number and a roommate. It will be interesting to see if they connect before move-in day.

Do single rooms cost more?

I got my letter two days ago, saying I’d been assigned a single in West. I was hoping for a roommate, but I’m okay with this too so long as the cost is the same.

Yes, the price for housing is the same for all freshmen.

Okay, thanks! :D
