Freshman vs transferring

<p>Hello, I'm a senior in high school and I was wondering if I should apply as a freshman or wait to transfer as a junior?</p>

<p>I ask because although it would be cheaper to transfer from a CC, would it be to my benefit to attend UofI early on (so I can learn the building, get to know more people, get used to the grading system/difficulty)?</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure I'd be able to get in as a freshman. I've got a 1930 SAT(I could take it again or try the ACT), 3.5 GPA and mostly AP courses but no ECs.</p>

<p>I would try to transfer from a CC. A 3.5 GPA is somewhat low and probably won’t get you admitted into UofI. Do you know what you want to study?</p>

<p>I do not sure about LAS admissions, but rest assured if you r in-state, chances of getting in will be much larger. I do know buncha kids w around 3.0 hs GPA in LAS. LAS Phys could be a bit harder tho.</p>
