Michigan and I think some of the University of California schools.

Search on the forum, this has been covered before.

Off the top of my head, I know some UCs and Carnegie Mellon.

UCs, State Schools sometimes

uhh, they do look into them to see your courses and what not, but they don't count the GPA for your overall UC GPA.

Yeah there are some schools that do not think highly of your freshmen year grades ( don't know why, with the opinion of myself doing a lot better freshmen year than sophomore).

because
1. it's crazy easy to mess up your freshman year when you are adjusting to high school.

it's also easy to do extremely well your freshman year (not too many tough classes..)

personally i think freshman year should be considered lightly.
