If you are a freshmen or a sophomore, could you please tell me what you got on your PSAT, and if you are honestly a good student/ where you are headed college wise. Thanks!!!

I scored a 210 (63 CR, 74 M, 73 W) on my sophomore year PSAT. Didn’t take it freshman year. I’m looking at some of the more selective colleges, and might even be applying to a few Ivies. I have a 216 PSAT (72 CR, 71 M, 73 W) this year, and will most likely make National Merit Semifinalist in my state (cutoff for the past two years was a 209). I hope my real SAT score ends up being at least a little higher than that though, lol!

And just for the record, PSAT’s aren’t particularly significant when it comes to college admissions. The only time when they actually count is during junior year, when determining eligibility for NMSF. But besides that, colleges won’t see your PSAT scores at all. There’s really no reason to be stressing out about them too much.

Also, there is little to no correlation between PSAT and actual SAT scores. One of my close friends, who is a senior this year, had a junior year PSAT score in the 200’s range, and she scored a 2340 on the actual SAT. My advice to you would be to make sure you’re well-prepared for the real thing.

how did u score that high any tips or advices for me

■■■. I thought I did well with a sophomore 204, but congrats fledgling

I am a good students, as 2 honors and 1 AP, studied maybe 2 weeks for the test

I got 210 as a freshman:
80 Math, 66 Reading, and 64 WR.
These things you shouldn’t care when you’re a freshman, it seems. (In fact, no one should care much, if you’re on the right track). However, you should just study for it during soph or summer, so you can get that 2350+. I mean, a friend of mine got 180 in freshman year, didn’t study, ended with 235 in junior year. Cmon, it’s just a standardized test. It’s just mainly study, study, study, to improve your score; nothing about smartness/whatever.
