Freshmen grades... + one bad subject

Hi, I almost finished 3/4 of my fresh men year. As of now I take
1) honors english 9 1st sem= A- as of now.. about B+/A-
2) honors algebra 2 1st sem= A- as of now.. about A
3) honors phsyics 1st sem= B+ as of now.. about B+/A-
4) history of asia 1st sem= B as of now.. about B/B+
5) mandarin 4 1st sem= A as of now.. about A+
6) public speaking 1st sem= A as of now.. about A/A+
7) PE 1st sem= A+ as of now.. about A/A+
8) orchestra 1st sem= A+ as of now.. about A

my first semester grades WEIGHTED (honors courses have a +0.5) were 3.94, so unweighted about 3.7 I feel like I'm doing horribly, and Stanford/Upenn/Berkeley/Princeton are my dream schools

also, most importantly,
I am really struggling in a regular history class. even though i try really hard and try to find good information for research papers, i don't receive a satisfactory grade. is there really any way for a horrible history student to really raise their grades up? please help!! suggestions thanks :(

does colleges look at each subject separately and if my history grades for 4 years weren't as great (or horrible) as other years, what would they think of it?

Depends on a lot of things… If you’re majoring in, say, engineering or something that doesn’t involve much history, then you’re fine. Also, 3.7 is a a solid GPA for freshman year, don’t doubt yourself. But a B+ or even a B won’t kill you in the long run, so long as the rest of your application overwhelms it.
