Well, I'm currently a freshmen in high school, and I really don't think my GPA is good enough to get into a decent school. I'd like to know if I'm doing alright, or if I'm out of luck. I don't really have a specific school I'd like to go to, but I do know I want to do something in writing/film. Anyways my grades so far have been:

1st Trimester:
PE: 83 (I really dislike this. The "teacher" failed me on just about everything, even though I tried my best. I spoke with her about it and she told me that "you can't always get good grades in everything")
Geometry A: 86 (I was one of three freshmen that had this class their freshmen year.)
CAPS: 91
Intro to Bio: 98
English 1A: 95

2nd Trimester:
Spanish 1A: 94
Biology: 93
Radio Broadcasting: 100
Geometry B: 94
World History A: 93

My current GPA is a 3.68

On the ACT explore, which is some sort of ACT prep, I got a 24/25 and was told I am expected to get in the 30's on my ACT.

Also, my school does not offer any honors classes whatsoever, and there are no AP classes available until I am a junior/senior. I see people with 96-99's worrying about getting in to colleges, and it just makes me worry more......(that sounded horribly cheesy)

You’re a freshman. Please don’t worry too much and do enjoy high school =)
As long as your grades show an upward trend, you’ll be fine. Strive to do better next year- look at why you got the 91 in Geometry this year. Do you need to spend more time with your teacher? Were there certain concepts that weren’t clear? PE is sort of a fluke…they vary widely in difficulty and can be very objective, so don’t worry too much about that.
Also, grades are just one part of getting into college. Find some extracurriculars that you’re passionate about and genuinely enjoy. Do some volunteering. But don’t freak out.

The very fact that you’re thinking about this already is good…

If you’re concerned that your freshman GPA is “too low” for colleges, I wouldn’t worry too much. Some schools completely disregard freshman year grades, and while not all do, they’re not as important as junior year or senior year grades. Just take a deep breath and relax. And if you’d like to take APs/honors classes but they’re not offered at your school, you can always challenge yourself by taking courses at a community college over the summer or self-studying for AP exams.

:(. You’re a freshman. You’re supposed to be enjoying life and remaining blissfully ignorant of college admissions.

I wouldn’t stress too much about grades. Well, obviously, you should be trying to get As (depending on which colleges you’re aiming for) but just make sure you try your hardest in your coming high school courses :)

Instead of worrying solely on grades, please start becoming involved in ECs and stuff if you’re not already. ECs are gonna screw me over so… just giving you a warning! But yeah, relax haha

You have no chance of getting into any college due to you being a freshman. Follow your heart, work hard, and don’t stress about the c-word.

thanks guys. I really appreciate the words of advice.

^weren’t they helpful? you’re welcome :).
