Fulfilling 60 Units

Hi --

I am in my last semester at my community college. I am taking a statistics class that is horrible, and I want to drop it. However, if I do I won't have the 60 units necessary to transfer. Does anyone know whether UCLA or Berkeley make ANY exceptions in terms of my situation (I would take Statistics again over the summer). I have a very high GPA if that makes any difference.

Thanks.

Nope. 60 units must be completed BEFORE summer (when you're accepted). Also take into consideration that you will not complete IGETC by the end of the Spring Semester.

From my little knowledge of these UC's, I am fairly sure that the only UC's that give you time to complete your units over the summer is UCM, UCSC and maybe UCR.

I don't think there are exceptions for 60 Units, but I've heard of them letting you finish pre-reqs in the summer. E-mail them, ASAP.

Is this Stats course your only UC-M (Mathematical concepts and Reasoning) course? If so that is another concern that would need to be addressed when you contact the campuses.

No exceptions, but if you're GPA is high enough and your major not impacted, just make sure you don't have any math classes required to graduate at Berkeley. I hear they're difficult.

I was going to take my physical Science req. to get my 60 units over the summer, It's not for my major, Is that a problem??

The 60 units by the end of the spring semester is solid for UC B/D/SD/SB.
