FULL TUITION for Vals and Sals

<p>I have a question. I was accepted to UConn EA and given the Leadership Scholarship which is half tuition...</p>

<p>Recently (mid-March), I have found out that I am the school's valedictorian. I read on the website that Presidential Scholarships at UConn are given to vals and sals? It says they are "CONSIDERED" so I'm not sure. Should I have already found out about this when they sent me my acceptance letter --- at that time, however, valedictorian/salutatorians were unknown.</p>

<p>I haven't received my financial aid package yet either. I wonder if I will find out more information there.</p>

<p>Does anyone know about the Presidential Scholarship that UConn gives out? And if val/sals are GARANTEED to get it? </p>

<p>It depends on how your school defines the val/sal. Scholarships are never “guaranteed.” </p>

<p>If you have new information, call or write the admissions office with it. Your school may need to send in a letter to confirm this status.</p>
