Fully qualified

Rambosolos: Yes, most appointment are given out by April. However, if a candidate wins an appointment by being the principal nominee or the top candidate on a competitive nomination slate, they will most likely receive their appointment before April. On the other hand, there will be some candidates on the National Waiting List who may only receive appointments in May/June. It is a fluid system that depends on all sorts of variables and each individual timeline depends on the individual circumstances. No solace to those who are waiting I know....Good luck to all of you!

Ann: I received a phone call from my senator's offices and they informed me that I had received an appointment to USMA. It somewhat caught me off guard! Just as you had said, I had received a top nomination and was informed of USMA's decision much earlier than the original deadline of April. I'm currently waiting for the official appointment papers to arrive through the mail this Tuesday. I can't wait!

Congratulations! :)

First Congrats! :D

Which Senator? I believe you said you were from NC. Our DS is applying to AFA and we went to Dole's thing on Sat. So I was wondering if you were there?

Congratulations!! I'm guessing you will accept?? If so it's time to start running hills and breaking in those shoes.... :)

Senator Burr

Ok - I guess my guess was not a good one ?? :)

I had a Burr nom too, but I guess this means I was beat out... Congrats!
Don't know how my MOC slate is going to turn out, but at least I got my waiver so I'm 3qed. So if I don't get my MOC does that mean I go to the NWL?

ben448: Yes, if you don't "win" an appointment from one of the nomination slates you will go on the NWL and compete from there. But, by way of example, if rambosolos does not accept his appointment, the candidate with the next highest WCS on Sen Burr's nomination slate will be offered an appointment.
Good luck!
