Gateway/ Blinn Team difference????????

I know that the gateway program is during the summer and you take 7 credit hours and need to obtain a minimum of a 2.0 while blinn team is during the year.

I was wondering, what is the difference between the students offered blinn team and summer gateway?

Also, what makes the admissions officers want to offer one student blinn team and another summer gateway?

Are there specific requirements for either of them?

Gateway is spending about a month or so at Texas A&M, and just A&M (no Blinn). If you get that 2.0 average, you get fully admitted to A&M for the Fall semester. The downside is if you don’t get that 2.0, you don’t have any colleges/university to attend because most colleges require to respond to them by June or July if you’re attending.

What do you think makes the counselors pit a student in the gateway program instead of blinn team or vice versa?

@armina:

Sounds like Gateway is a more direct path? Maybe call the admissions office for more information.

gateway sounds like a better option. if you can’t make the 2.0, you don’t belong there anyway.

and, IMO, summer school is easy compared to regular semester school.
