I sent an email to UMD's admission office but it's been over a week and they have yet to reply, so I'm hoping if there's anyone who can help me out! This is what I wrote in the email to them:

"Hello, I have a question about transferring to UMD and specifically, to the Smith school of business. Currently, I am a student at Montgomery College and I am on track to transfer to UMD via the MTAP program in fall 2015. This fall 2014, I will be taking the ENGL101, MATH220, and BMGT 220 gateway equivalents at the CC. For spring 2015, I will have 4 gateway courses left for admission to Smith (BMGT 221, ECON201, ECON200, and BMGT230). I read in a FAQ listed on my CC's transfer advising page that I cannot take more than 2 gateway courses in the semester that I apply to Smith.

My question is if I take 2 (of the 4) gateway courses I have left at my CC for spring 2015, can I transfer to UMD in fall 2015, take the last 2 remaining gateway courses in that semester, and apply to Smith? Or will I have to spend another semester at my CC to complete the last 2 gateway courses before I transfer?"

I will have 47 transferrable credits including 5 gateway courses out of the required 7 by the time I transfer to UMD. I want to take the remaining 2 gateway courses at UMD during my first semester there and then apply admission to Smith. Is this possible? Sorry if I'm wording this all confusingly. And thank you for any help!
