<p>Hello I'm currently a junior and was wondering if Kenyon is a gay-friendly school? Is there a large, active lgbt community? </p>
<p>I've heard mixed things so I would like to hear from some students/alumnus..</p>
<p>I would say that Kenyon is very open and friendly to everyone including gays. Yes, there will be a few random individuals making bad choices at times(mainly when drunk), but those actions are always dealt with swiftly by the administration and even more so by fellow students.</p>
<p>Also...yes, there was (and I'm sure there still is) a decent sized and active community.</p>
<p>My friend (gay and male) complains constantly about the smallness and quality of the dating pool. I hear the situation is better, however, for women.</p>
<p>Of the 30ish guys that live in the hall above me I think 6 are gay.
I have heard them complain about the smallness of the dating pool, but I don't know how. Being a straight female it seems as if half the guys here are gay. Anyway, it's very friendly, and Unity House does a good job establishing a community.</p>
