gen ed: is SUNY Learning Network acceptable?

<p>My son would like to take a Winter Session course starting Monday. We found two nice classes offered online (SUNY Learning Network). Will SLN work for satisfying Gen Ed? He is a Harpur sophomore.</p>

<p>Here are the specific courses he has his eye on (he would only sign up for one):</p>

<p>The</a> West and the World</p>

<p>Modern</a> Culture and Media</p>

<p>He needs Humanities or Social Science.</p>

<p>Also, how do we go about signing up for SLN?</p>

<p>Just a FYI - The SUNY Learing Network is not a campus. The two courses you would like your son to enroll in are offered by SUNY Oswego, I suggest you take the following action: (1) Verify they will transfer into this degree program at Binghamton (2) Once Binghamton confirms they transfer, enroll in the courses at SUNY Oswego - [SUNY</a> Oswego - myOswego](<a href=“http://www.oswego.edu/myoswego.html]SUNY”>myOswego | myOswego)</p>

<p>You’ll need to check with Harpur Advising. They’ll tell you if the Gen. Ed. will work (the course will definitely transfer, but it may not do what you want… Speaking from experience.).</p>
