George Bush

you emphasized it bc the kid you were talking to spelled it wrong, so you were mocking him by using his spelling and emphasizing it in italics. Persanally, I speel loots of tangs wrong, and I wood git mud iff some1 insalted me 4 itt.

Yeah zip sure...except you have seemed to overlook an important part of your argument: he spelled it correctly!

Gosh....

then why did you speel it wrang?

The republicans and the democrats are both incredibly corrupt.

george bush is cool and thats why he was elected twice. tats allz i gots 2 siy about taht

what the hell are you people talking about. It is spelled politicians , There is no E.

EXACTLY thats what ive been trying to tell them. btw, I heart the bronx.

UCLAri, I agree that there is mudslinging on both sides. People just tend to think it's one-sided when it's directed at them.

I also agree (with whoever said it) that both political parties are corrupt.

I think this issue goes beyond political parties. Maybe that's why Kerry gave in so easily.

Also, the Republicans in office right now aren't really conservatives - they're neocons. (I recommend Pat Buchanan's book 'Where the Right Went Wrong' and he is a real conservative and I respect him even though I don't agree with everything he says - I do agree with a lot of what he says and I am more liberal than I am conservative, although I am conservative on a few things. I do not identify with either political party - I think they're all corrupt, with maybe just a few exceptions)

To Vinny:

The 911 Truth Movement has been getting more coverage lately. At first, no one wanted to touch it at all because it is so inflammatory. Also I think no one wanted to stick their necks out for fear of it getting cut off, in this new atmosphere of getting our personal liberties taken away (thanks to bush, btw)

But, there has been coverage on C-SPAN, MSNBC, FOX, and others. Yes, FOX of course did ridicule the guy that had on, but that is what FOX does. Still, he managed to say a bit and get the website out there. Loose Change is being shown on college campuses all over the country and is one of the top videos to be downloaded from google. Physics professors are being interviewed and are giving presentations at universities...and much more. There have also been tentative stories in Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair. VF was objective and RS (a supposedly 'liberal' mag) was negative. But that's how it starts. All radical ideas face fierce opposition at first. Look what they did to Galileo, Ghandi, Jesus... You cannot decide if something is valid or not based on the mainstream opinion of the masses. Radical ideas take time to sink in. (It took 5 years for me and I'm not even mainstream. So I guess I can't be too hard on you guys. I can understand your fear. That's what it is. Fear.) Anyway, it's happening.

why did you not show up last night??

lealdragon,

Corruption in the US is actually pretty low when compared to international indices.

"Your sources are the equivalent of a creationist offering up something from Dr. Dino as proof. I think some variety in sources is called for."

Can you please explain why you think the st911.org and physics911.net sites are not legit? What did you see that made you think they weren't legit? (aside from the Tom Clancy reference at that one site, as I already said that was just a theory about the 'how' and not to be confused with the actual research being done at st911.org.) There are actually a LOT of websites out there as well as lots of books and videos. Not all are legit, imo. As I said, some of them really are crazy!

I highly recommend 'The New Pearl Harbor' - it's the best of the books. Very objective and well-documented, and avoids any political bashing.

And, who is Dr. Dino? Is that a play on words or a real person?

The st911.org in particular is the one I find the most legit because it is an organization composed of scholars from reputable backgrounds. In fact, their objective is to legitmize the 911 research and separate the legitimate research from the crazy wackos who think EVERYTHING is a conspiracy (like the moon conspiracy theorists, which, admittedly, I have never taken the time to investigate because I never could see the logic in it).

I could easily send you a variety of sources but not all of them would be as high calibre as this one. (Of course, you can easily just google it yourself, in which case you will find a huge assortment, not all of which I would take seriously.)

Nonetheless, I will gladly provide more sources for you. When I get home later I will do that. I am continually amazed at just how much info there is out there, and how the movement is growing in legitimacy. I mean, one of the main 911 guys was on O'Reilly the other day! Granted, O'Reilly called him crazy (and didn't let him say much), but that still does show that the movement is getting attention. (Anyway, I don't care much for O'Reilly's assessment of ANYONE. O'Reilly really makes Republicans look bad. I'd disown him if I were a Republican.) As I said, that is the first step towards opening the doors to open discussion.

As far as the corruption in the US compared to other countries, sure, we're still probably way less corrupt than most. (Although, as this 911 stuff comes out, that may be questioned!) I still would rather live here than anywhere else. (No question about that, so all you liberal-bashers please don't even start.) Which is why I think it's important to expose any corruption - that is necessary to remain true to the wonderful values this country was founded on. It's a shame when corruption leaches into something that was intended to be good.

I think, in general, corruption tends to congeal in places of power, regardless of where it may be, especially when the populace isn't paying attention becaue they're too busy watching reality tv shows.

If you keep your paragraphs concise and not throw together asinine statements, people might actually read and understand them.

That would have been good advice until you said 'asinine statements.' What did I do to deserve that?

lealdragon,

The problem with your sources is that they're all pretty much from a tight-knit like-minded community. There's so much obvious group-think that it's absurd.

Y'know... I know you don't like the official reports, but there were tons of actually qualified engineers involved. What makes you think that none of them would have spoken up? Not a single one?

Again, OCCAM'S RAZOR is your friend.

LealDragon

You are not wasting your breath.

Even in the face of mounting evidence, people will deny the truth because:
1) it requires them to question some fundamental beliefs - scary!
2) they simply want to prolong the discussion.

I have been viewing each of your links. I have also been 'copying/ pasting' your links and will be emailing them to everyone I know.

I knew about the LooseChange video link....but, didn't know about the other links....or, where I could possibly have found additional links.

Thanks!

ps - when recommending Loose Change....like you, I found that some will listen, some will not. Sigh.

Thanks so much, Saudi! Then it's all been worth it!!!!

UCLAri: That is a very good point and I don't know the answer to it. I think I will ask my conspiracy friends that question and get back to you. I'm still trying to figure this all out.

Oops, can't ask them because the truth movement forum is down. Uh-oh, the Feds must've shut them down! YIKES!

Wait! I shall apply OCCAM'S RAZOR. Maybe they are just having technical problems. <relief></relief>

Thanks so much for your great advice! ;-)

(If only the 911 controversy were so simple.)

(true story - the forum really is down.)

^Refer to the above post for a definition of asinine.

No. You give no definition. You are just mudslinging. How pathetic.

lealdragon you are one sick kitty. Didnt I tell you to take your meds :)?
