I just tweeted admissions and they said it’s not today- go see
they said “enjoy your weekend” on the tweet too—guess not for a few more days
Ugh…. I’m so sick of the waiting.
Lol every single one of my schools has not come out on the “predicted” day this year
2pm pst (5pm est) still nothing
Hm it may come out another hour from now. If it doesn’t, it seems that they are breaking tradition and we may have to wait until next week!
but they tweeted that it isn’t today!
@Lana22 yes, but you never know with admissions officers- several of my schools have already denied that they were going to be releasing decisions that day on the day they released.
Admissions offices never say when decisions come out. UMiami told me mid April when I called and decisions came out on March 21
Well if it’s not today then it’ll be sometime next week but who knows when the wait really is the worst part
Is it still not up?
@jesr1121 Nope. GWU Admissions Twitter said it wouldn’t be out today… Hoping they come out soon
The admissions people tweeted out they would be released April first. Uggghhhhh
They tweeted BY April 1st. So it still could be any day.
@fulofsteel they said “by Apr 1” which is basically what every school says, so it could be anytime Mon-Fri next week
Oh ok. Misread it then.
To be honest, my most frustrating concern is My D getting accepted and not receiving any scholarships. She was admitted to American University’s SIS-Global Scholars but didn’t receive any scholarships. The admissions officer said “we are so happy your daughter will be joining us in the fall!” The full cost is $61,110! Don’t know what’s worse…not getting in or getting in and not receiving any money.
@HappyFace2018 at least she got the acceptance letter, 75% of us didn’t get it
@HappyFace2018 I totally understand your pain right now. I was accepted to AU’s policy, politics, and law program with only $12k per year in aid. There’s no way my parents can afford the remaining ~$49k cost of attendance. Getting into a school is an awesome accomplishment, but knowing you can’t afford it is absolutely heart-wrenching. Honestly, I’d rather get rejected altogether than get admitted and know I can’t go because of finances. Best of luck with your daughter-- hopefully she’ll find a good school at a better price.
I know how you feel. I got into Lehigh (which I didn’t think I would) but I received barely any financial aid and no merit. It is my dream school and I don’t know what to do about the high price (we don’t qualify for need-based aid). What do you guys think I should do? I have received scholarships to Gettysburg and Dickinson so far.
