@smilingalong @Gt2017 Congratulations to you both! Did you receive calls or email notification?
Anyone get off EWL from SFS?
So you will be attending @smilingalong? Did they give you as much aid as University of Rochester and Oklahma? Congrats!
Has anyone heard anything?
I haven’t. Do you think it’s over? Also, how would we be hearing from them? Via email or call?
Feels like it’s over - in previous years nobody who got in were posting their news this late.
Its not looking good, but there definitely have been people that got in even past June 20th in past threads. I’ve tried to mentally move on and am getting excited for my committed school, as should everyone else on the EWL.
It’s over everyone. Congrats for getting into the final round!
@student006, Do you know that definitively?
@student006, did you speak with someone in GU Admissions who told you that the EWL is now complete?
I’m guessing we’ll get the official end via mail on or before June 30.
How did you hear it was over? I have not received any mail yet. Either way, I’ll be glad to be officially done with the college process at this point.
I know its weird, I cant say. Hopefully, they were wrong but pretty sure its done. Has anyone tried calling admissions.
A little cryptic. You saying you can’t say how (or from whom) you heard it was over, but that you heard from someone and are hoping they are wrong?
@betwixt - we received a call then another call followed by emails with packets, etc. I did hear the SFS was overenrolled and I know that one SFS student requested a gap year past the due date and they said no - even though they were overenrolled.
Yes exactly. Its full now, but there is always a chance someone can back out in the final hours.
Did SFS take anyone from either the extended or regular waitlist in the past 2 months? How and by how many do you know about SFS being over-enrolled? What was the due date for requesting a gap?
Is MSB full too? I haven’t heard anything since someone got in for MSB off the EWL a while ago.
@Gt2017 “I know that one SFS student requested a gap year past the due date and they said no - even though they were overenrolled.”
Thanks for the info. Do you have any further information on why the SFS student was turned down for a gap year? Was there a specific reason given? Was it perhaps due to financial aid not rolling over if he/she did not enrol in August?
It was after the deadline to request a gap year
