I live 2 miles from Georgetown in DC and I haven’t gotten anything yet. Please post updates if you get you letter. Thanks

I think this is the one and only time when I want Monday to come! I just have to know!! My mail doesn’t come until 5 at night so I will be soo anxious in school!

You know what would be great? If the mail service had Sunday delivery.

d-day is rapidly approaching…

Lol guys chill out if they sent letters Friday (and we don’t really know this for sure) than it’s not that ridiculous that nobody got them the next day. Besides, in a week, everyone will know anyway.

(Unpopular opinion) I kind of like that it comes in a letter. It’s a more exciting moment when you open it, as opposed to clicking on an email or frantically refreshing an overloaded admissions portal page. I also think they weed out some people who don’t really love Georgetown by using their own application instead of the Common App.

My counselor received an email which said that international students are going to receive an email the 13th or the 14th. Good luck!

I am applying to NHS. I totally agree. For the desicions I can see online, I am going to wait for the letter anyway. I also think it seems more harsh to be denied by email.

Good luck everyone. I will be watching for the posts. I am in NJ and waiting too…

I think after the letter is safely in my hands, I will be glad it came that way too. But right now, the waiting is just killing me.

Haha just imagine the anticlimax if it turns out that it wasn’t mailed on Friday. On that note, the postage calculator predicts Thursday if it were to be sent out tomorrow!

I’m almost positive they were mailed the 7th. Last year, the 9th was the last day of classes, and they were mailed then; this year, the 7th must be the last day of classes.

I worry the letters could be delayed because of Hurricane Sandy. I hope not though!

I mean, Dartmouth and Columbia got them off on time, and Columbia especially would be far more affected than Georgetown. Hopefully!

^ true dat

Isn’t it weird to think that by this time tomorrow, many of us will know (hopefully) whether or not we’re going to Georgetown? It’s so weird to think that I’m going to learn what the next four years of my life are going to be like this week.

IM DYING BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE THE 15TH AND NOW YOU ALL HAVE THOROUGHLY FREAKED ME OUT dies

I know I’m joining the conversation late and all, but the undergraduate bulletin for admissions does say that decisions will be announced ON the 15th… so maybe we can breathe?

Check last year’s decisions. They were not on the 15th.

If there was ever a time for the Serenity Prayer, this is it:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

We have submitted our apps. We have taken our best shot. It is now out of our hands. We are all going to end up where fate wants us.
