Georgetown Class of 2017 EA/RD Discussion Thread

You are very wise scswickman. Good luck to everyone!

well i mean the worst that can happen is deferral–which could be good!

Haha EllJay, if you read through the earlier parts of the thread you’ll see the theory of why it’d be mailed early explained in depth.

D day people

Good luck to everyone!

is it dday? or am i international. ha!

Good luck everyone!

What time do you guys have mail arrive most days? Mine is usually around 4:00 eastern.

We get mail around 2:30 here in Long Island, N.Y.

Mine comes anywhere between 2 and 4. It seems kind of random.

make sure to post results in the threads :D

Just left school to stalk my mailman, found him, and then got scared and didn’t ask him for my letter

Received nothing in today’s mail in New Hampshire. Letters were probably not mailed on 12/7/12.

Come on, askboston! You’re our bellwether!

ahhhhhh i’m hating this. other schools have gotten them XD

For the sake of curiosity, where in NH are you rojocon? Closer to major population areas (and thus mail infrastructure), or more of an isolated town?

I’m in Manchester, the largest city in the state.

Well, damn. Haha unless something happened with your mail delivery, the next most likely day is Thursday…

Kevwol said that his HS counselor was told that, for international students, emails would be sent on the 13th or 14th. Assuming that Georgetown Admissions values consistency, they would want domestic and international students to be notified around the same time. It sounds to me like Georgetown is planning on mailing decisions on the 11th, which would result in receipt by most people on the 13th or 14th. Just a guess, however.

yay decision by email!!!
