By the way, should I let my interviewer know I was deferred? Could she help with getting me in during RD??

What else should I do to increase my chances of a RD acceptance??

Do you know if anyone has received email from Georgetown?? I am an international applicant and yet haven’t received any email yet

I would let your interviewer know just because I’m sure he/she is curious about the outcome. I don’t know if it would help your chances for RD, but he/she might be able to. I know my interviewer is very interested in the outcome of my decision and I will email him whatever the outcome. Just be gracious about it…like thank you for your help and I’m sorry to inform you that I was deferred but am hopeful for RD.
Good luck in RD!

“Interviewer, I got rejected. Thanks for all your help.”

.

Letter was average sized, slightly bulky, like a little fat.

*I live in the DC suburbs area, 10 miles from GTOWN. letter came on 12/13

^lol, although i might be thinking the same thing come tomorrow.

keep thinking about how i should have gotten my letter today. how far are you guys from DC that already got yours?

The pressure is almost too much to bare. Here I am, two days before December 15th and I’m finding out that some people already know the news I either want to hear more than anything, or would rather not hear for anything. 13%?! That’s almost unimaginable. I can feel my hopes are too high & I can’t afford to fall apart at the response of “We’re sorry but…” but it’s practically the inevitable. I’ve never once in my life assumed I was above stressing about ‘being good enough’. If it’s a toss up, then I’m screwed. If it’s based on the best of the best, then I’m screwed.

It’s a system with no clear way to win or even succeed. My dreams can be crushed by such few words and what hurts is they won’t be the only ones crushed by far.

I’m sorry for the long winded post- I just needed a place to get out all that I’m feeling right now.

Basically: this absolutely BLOWS.

@tashabadyo

i feel for yuh homie

I have spent the past 3 days doubting any chance of me getting accepted early. If Georgetown cares for what’s best for my mental stability, they should accept me.

im dying…im dying…pleaseeeeeeeee…

anyone hear already get accepted to any other colleges? or hearing back from them soon??

just to divert from the anxiety and tension

I was accepted to Fordham early

full tuition scholarship and guaranteed admission to the graduate school at the university of pittsburgh

I was accepted to Fordham and Tulane early, and will hear back from UIUC tomorrow.

I was accepted to Tulane and Fordham too! And Northeastern. Waiting on Georgetown and BC.

I don’t feel good about Georgetown at all. Everyone is telling me that I will definitely get in and how I am so qualified at my school. I doubt it. I am #1 in the whole school but I am probably no where near competitive as you guys are. 13%? That’s ridiculous.

lolz i was an intern at FCRC this summer too!

It says that last year’s total acceptance rate was 18%… so maybe a lot of people who get deferred get accepted during RD

13% is just brutal. The early actions/decisions released so far for my classmates have not been going well, so everyone is pretty demoralized. It’s depressing. I just want this December decision period to be over so we can all move on.
