Applied to transfer from Vanderbilt University where I had a 3.84 GPA

Even though I also applied to the college I am still crossing my fingers! I used a former military superior in lieu of my professor’s report because the admissions website said that that was acceptable; however, a week or two I got an email from an admissions officer saying that I never turned a report in. After a little explanation they figured it out but still requested another report. Took me two days to get one to them from my biology professor; I’m assuming that’s why I haven’t heard back.

@Collegestuff202 So far no military acceptances for those on the CC forum - hey, maybe they’ll do a day of just military acceptances for us…lol

INNN!!
Applied for econ.
I am curious when will they send the financial offers>

Congrats! Lots of Econ acceptances. Did you receive the email yesterday?

Here’s hoping! @Robinyoursoul

I also haven’t seen msb acceptances yet so who knows

@radamnantas when did you hear back?

eng + spanish major here - haven’t heard back yet. where did you guys find admission officer contact info? applying from a top 15 school here

stats? @radamnantas Please Im applying next fall lol

yesterday around 5-6 pm est

A lot of acceptances for the College this last week. If I don’t hear something next week I might have to start considering my offer at George Washington U. - must focus on my finals next week first!

Was accepted by UC Berkeley… I love Georgetown but I also love Cal…And they both have my very specific major (peace and justice studies). Not sure what I’m going to do if I’m lucky enough to get in

You are lucky enough already. If i were you i would go to UC Berkley. It very awesome school
The other guy is waiting for GU while he got in GWU. Go to GW and reserve your seat you will front the whir house, pentagon and foreign ministry. What else you want. Common bro

At least u have admission better than me i haven"t gotten anything

@mb-side I’m guessing that’s directed towards me? since you asked, I’ll fill you in: I did extremely poorly in high school; failed community college once; spent 5.5 years in the Marines and served in 4 continents including a combat deployment; have endured more stressors in a 7 month time frame compared to the entire life of your average college confidential kid and have attended more funerals than I’d like to count.

An accumulation of the above is the reason why I’m holding out for GU; I’m gonna strive for the best as possible school because that’s what I believe I’m capable of - and let’s be honest, GWU doesn’t compare. If I get accepted to GU that would be awesome; if I don’t, well, I’m glad I made the attempt - that’s what I want

…I would also like to be a pediatric dentist one day and the GU name will help

You are right GU is better but GW is considered good school too. I don"t want to discourage i did poorly at university and i know it is almost impossible to get in. If you have a weak academic background don"t expect to get in. It is all about grades bro. No matter what you did where you served or whether or not your essays are good enough. IT IS ALL ABOUT GRADES

GU is very competitive and i am glad that you at least have a choice which us GW

So, someone with a 4.0 GPA but nothing else to offer has a better chance of getting accepted to a place like GU compared to someone with a 3.7 and an excellent admissions packet and great
recommendations besides professors? Let’s be realistic here, man.

The reality of your example, both are excellent GPA, but if there is one seat, the one with 4.0 gpa will get it. As i said unfortunately we are being treated on numbers only. Its all about grades inlyyyyy whether we like it or not

I wish i am wrong
