@anaratheunicorn I would call admissions first. They’ll give you the contact info for the specific admissions officer you should be reaching out to.
Really hoping to hear back today
Did all the people who have heard back ask for an early review?
@Neogotmyback no I don’t believe so
Just called GU and got the contact info for the admissions officer I’m supposed to talk to for an early decision. I was told i must include proof that I need to reply to other schools by June 1st, which is when decisions come out.
I never asked for an early review and I heard back last Wednesday. I must caution you that if everybody asks for an early review, no one will get one and you’ll all be back to square one, so use your request wisely.
@TerrierNation I need to reply to other schools on June 1st, thats why I requested an early review!
This is how good schools do it.
Your Johns Hopkins University admissions decision will be available at 3:00 p.m. Eastern on Monday, May 7, 2018. At that time, visit mydecision.jhu.edu and use the password you created to log in and view your admissions decision.
@rdcall Emory similar
@TerrierNation I think the people in this thread who have asked for one are in the clear. The vast majority of the 2000+ people applying are not using College Confidential, nor have any inclination to ask for early reads because the ability to do so is A. not common knowledge and B. usually not extended evenly throughout the university admissions apparatus. Even if 10 have asked in the past few pages, that is a minuscule number. This isn’t a security clearance where they are combing through your life story, this is a humdrum process and doesn’t take that long to read through each application, suffice to say.
Does anyone know who I can email for nursing?
@brelove2 i called th admissions office and they gave me the contact of my specific counselor/officer!
Anyone got their decision yet?
Do you think some will hear back today?
last semester MSB started hearing around the second week of may… wondering if it’ll be the same
I was looking at last year’s trend. They started to give out decision the second Wednesday of May. So I guess it is getting close.
Hi @anaratheunicorn, congratulations! I am curious when did they email you?
Hi @Hanyan ! There seems to be some kind of miscommunication. I’m still waiting on my decision :(. I emailed admissions about my acceptance to another college to request for an early reading.
good luck to everyone!! i applied for junior transfer into SFS as a int’l political economy major, have yet to hear anything back. did anyone else get an email from admissions a couple weeks back asking if you wanted to be considered for spring 2019 admission? does that mean anything??
Also, has anyone gotten their decisions yet?
i’m considering doing this as well, since I also got into UNC and i’m tired of waiting…do you think rushing them hurts the chances of acceptance? i’m afraid that if i rush them, they will spend less time looking at my app…
